Manitoba’s newest professional chamber choir, Polycoro Chamber Choir has enthralled audiences with its cutting edge programs and daring artistry since first bursting onto Winnipeg’s choral scene in May 2015.

With their diverse concerts praised as a “combustion of creativity” by the Winnipeg Free Press, the elite ensemble comprised of 15 adventuresome singers led by founding artistic director/conductor John Wiens perform exciting a cappella works by notable composers including Penderecki, Martin, Gorecki, Rheinberger, Lassus, and Willan, as well as Canadian composers Oleksa Lozowchuk and Norbert Palej. Polycoro also wowed capacity crowds during last year’s multi-sensory performance of Joby Talbot’s “Path of Miracles” in collaboration with internationally acclaimed filmmaker/projection designer Deco Dawson, following guest appearances at the 2018 Winnipeg New Music Festival and Cluster New Music Festival.

Stay tuned for even bigger and better things from “one of the hottest choirs in the city” (WFP) in 2018-2019.
